We are losing nothing because the site currently houses the nine-story Luxe Hotel.
The design is even more important than the units. A design has to be realistic and economic.
The Hazens Group already owns the Gateway LAX Hotel and also the Sheraton-San Gabriel Hotel. They might invest some of that money somewhere else in Los Angeles.
Could they have gone even higher? Sure (with a realistic design), but I gladly take those two towers knowingly that their efforts to expand its L.A. operations continue.
