Nice pictures.

I live close to Shepherd's Bush and Notting Hill. In fact, the Seven Up store is at the end of my street and I visit many of the areas shown on a regular basis including walking through the (foul smelling ) sheep tunnel.

Hope you don't mind, but I would like to contribute these photos to the thread of a couple of interesting modern houses in Notting Hill.

Thanks for the pics, Olga.

I must admit I have not been to London. I had some rave reviews about the city living in London from one American from Philly who lived there for a year on sabbatical... But as I keep looking and looking at various pics - the city just does not win over my heart. Maybe this will change if I ever have chance to spend some time there.

I don't mind at all, on the contrary. I really like the building on the first photo. The second one - meh... I guess the first one is a completely new structure, while the second one is a rebuilt old house. Or maybe not?

A poster on a rival forum went nuts when I recently posted my photos featuring the same areas he had photographed onto his thread and demanded I removed them.

As for the houses, I think the first one is actually a (major) rennovation of the building that was already there. Meanwhile, the second house (with the Merc outside) is a new build replacing another modern house which stood there but sadly I don't have photos of. The previous house had much larger front windows.

Tired of London? I'll get tired of London right before I get tired of women.

It's generally considered bad form to post additional pics to a photo thread unless it really adds something to the discussion.

I believe it did, because the route (a rather unknown/deserted part of London) that the photos were of was the same route I had also decided to photograph only a couple of days earlier but had not posted them up yet.

My photos added included parts that the thread starter had not photographed and in fact I had continued the journey further.

I was rather impressed that two different people from the same forum had decided to visit and photograph the same unknown/deserted part of London with two days of each other. Sadly, they weren't.

Ah well, never mind.
