Some of you may be familiar with Gene Phillips' terrific Atlanta photos.

Here's a view you don't often see.

Sorry for the giant image -- I don't know how to resize photos that are linked from Facebook.

It gives Stone Mountain a brooding, almost alien presence.

And it will look even more impressive in 9 - 12 months when Alexan, CODA, and The Standard, amongst other projects, approach topping out...

Nice! Hopefully Opus will begin adding a new peak to the skyline in the near future.

When is NCR official move in date, I wonder if new apartments are signing leases for those NCR employees yet. This shot of ATL skyline is going to look awesome from the National football coverage that the NFL will do from Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Most cities would kill for a skyline like Buckhead, upper right for those impostors on here...

Why does the Viewpoint Condo building (36 stories) look taller than Icon (39 stories)?

Elevation.

Both buildings are approximately 501 feet. Viewpoint / Icon. However, Icon's starting elevation is 921 feet while Viewpoint is at 998. Source. The angle of the photo enhances that difference.

Because Viewpoint is on the Peachtree Ridge. Icon is a few blocks West and quite a bit lower in street elevation.
