That's true but I'm figuring that because we're doing colors and not a representation of the flag. It should be displayed as the colors are read - "red, white, and blue".

What mheadroom is referring to is that, every time you have a vertical sign, you read it from top to bottom... so red, white and blue means the red should be on top.

No, last I heard the red obstruction lights will be attached to the communication rings.

ugghh.... everything's moving at a snail's pace now. Very frustrating. I know things have to be done right.... but I wish they would just get those damn extra platforms off the spire, finish the cladding, take the crane down... and JUST FINISH THE DAMN BUILDING ALREADY!!!

okay... maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet. Sorry for the rant.

I hate to break it to you, but the platforms that are still on the spire are there to stay.

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before... over and over. There are still 8 (by my count) temporary platforms that have yet to be removed. Somebody's got a great graphic that explains this. I'll try to go back a few (dozen?) pages and see if I can find it again.

Kudos to Traynor for this great graphic. Obviously still useful.

The guys are still up there torquing bolts, try working in weather over 90F like last week and what is predicated for this week. They are working to finish and the temporary dog house steel is now removed from the roof.

Wow, you sound really childish, like a spoiled kid whining about his daddy not putting together a swing set in the backyard quickly enough. You obviously don't have any sense of what it takes to construct a building like this, or any consideration for the all those construction workers themselves and all the work they do. The building doesn't build itself, and it isn't being built solely for your satisfaction either.

This is just absolutely incredible, in every way possible. This has become my favourite skyscraper, alongside 4 WTC. The base glass is beautiful.

The base evokes the verticality of the old WTC facade a little bit.
