2 am?

Boston Pizza is ok, i like their pizza. They get good turnouts for playoffs and sports. Metrotown could use a few more late night places, maybe a lounge or two.

2PM is Euro speak for 2 in the night, or 2AM as NAs say.

Klazu's our resident European, IIRC.

Yes, probably. Reliance bought the building last year for $43 million dollars.

I guess there is demand for that and it is great to see a suburban town center starting to have some "night life". After Metropolis closes, things get really quiet in the 'hood and I hope with Station Square there will be more restaurants that stay open until late in the evening.
Actually, Metrotown and the surrounding area use to have a lot more night life and was quite a bit edgier. Metrotown is more of a Chinese neighbourhood now. They're not really partiers (for the most part).

15+ years ago there was a hooker on every corner all the way to the mall on Kingsway.

Metro Van sure did have some rowdy spots outside downtown, Kingsway, King George, heck even Marine.

I remember there was once a casino at Metrotown, which gave the area some nightlife fun.

At the Holiday Inn, I think?

I think that was before the Villa Grand casino - they could have moved the licence.

Did Holiday Inn have a deal with the province or something? All the small casinos dotted around the region was attached to Holiday Inns.

I feel that Brentwood will have a much livelier nightlife going on

Haha, it might be that too, but I was just misstyping my time. It is 2am as in 02:00 o'clock.

I am actually now curious to go and see how busy it is on some Tuesday night at 1am and whether or not the kitchen is still open at that time.

I also have this strange urge to visit a 24-hour IHOP/Denny's sometime at 3am in the morning. Just for the heck of it!

Go down Kingsway to the Denny's a block before Imperial.
Such an interesting mix diverse crowd, from the students typing away sipping on coffee to the post-party loud crowd.

Mexico City is a better place to visit Dennys at that time-better food too.

i used to work graveyards at dennys many years ago. It would get very busy after the bars closed. There would be a group of regulars who would come in for hours every night.

Dennys on Davie is the most interesting at night. Lots of late night grinding, gyrating on tables.

Kingsway had some nightlife during 80s and 90s with nightclubs such as studabakers, shark club now joes in Burnaby, connections in holiday inn, the penalty box at mr sports hotel, and another place that started with the letter M right by the old pub med that is now wings. It was nice that you didnt have to head downtown and have something close by, but it also would attract a bit of a ruff east van crowd.
