I wonder if this will ever get built. The website is down, and its been "approved" for years with no sign of construction starting.

Bet on slow-track progress for condo project:

Quote:
Now, this. Nick Circosta, vice-president of development and special projects for Fortress Real Development Inc., told The Standard last month the latest owners are hoping to start digging by next spring.

That’s after they get approval for a redesign that may involve chopping one to three storeys off the condo tower.
Project Updates -- October 2015:

Quote:
Renovations and improvements to the existing heritage buildings on-site are priorities in the coming months. Development concepts presented by Kirkor Architects were provided by Fortress to the municipal planning department for preliminary discussions. The councillor and the planning staff are encouraged by the direction Fortress has taken, and continue to work with us as we finalize a financially viable solution for this project.

Project Updates, May 2016

Quote:
The new consultant team is currently being hired to prepare the development applications with the City. A re-branding of the project, and a soft launch or marketing and sales will be unveiled in the coming months.

This thread needs a name update from Port Dalhousie | Port Place | ?M | 14-16 FLOORS to St. Catharines | Union Waterfront | ?M | 16 FLOORS

^ Port Dalhousie is the town the development is in, but St. Catharines is the city it is in so that should be in the title instead.
