Regarding the stack of pancakes tower, I think it's safe to say WeHo residents are going to fight this thing-

http://www.wehoville.com/2017/10/06/...set-boulevard/

The proposal will have to go before the city’s Planning Commission and that commission’s Design Review Subcommittee and ultimately before the City Council for approval given that its size far exceeds what current zoning regulations allow for the site. For example, the city’s Sunset Specific Plan limits the height of a building on the commercial lot to 100 feet, far lower than the 19 stories proposed by the Charles Company.

(I wonder if Piano's inspiration for the sphere came from Heizer's levitated mass.)

Great shots, Kelbeen! I keep forgetting about the Vincent Thomas bridge replacement. Looks massive. And that shot of the Long Beach skyline will definitely change over the next few years. At least one new tower as tall (or slightly taller) than it's two tallest is underway, and another hotel tower that would be a new tallest was proposed recently.

I was HD Buttercup last weekend and they say the building is no longer being demolished this year, at least. They are not closing and are making the La Cienega store an outlet. Wonder how long the delay in Caruso's tower is?

You mean Gerald Desmond Bridge. Vincent Thomas is the big green suspension bridge. That's not being replaced.

Will the new bridge be the first cable-stay bridge in LA metro?
I believe so - cannot think of another.

Why is the white building on the north east corner of fountain and sweetzer vacant?
