I preferred the old rendering. It was more interesting. This is kinda boring.

Nice, it's width must make it appear shorter than it is, because it sure doesn't look like a near 500 footer. I don't know if i like the fact that it will unseat Manulife as Edmonton's new tallest. How or when did it go from 450 ft in the drawings to 490 ft.

I don't know when the number changed but I agree, most 29 story office towers are about 390 feet tall not 490, unless those deely bobbers on top are going to be a lot bigger than they appear. For what it's worth, wikipedia confirmed the height of 490 feet. It will be interesting to see which tops out first, The Bow or Epcor. Regardless, Calgary and Edmonton will both soon have a new tallest.

Congratulations E-town!

Nice building. To bad they push it up another 3-4 floors. Is 500' the limit?

14 foot floors = less floors, but more height. A specific design choice. And yes, we updated the wiki page to align with the newly confirmed height.

Essentially. There is a geodetic limit due to an airport overlay with the close proximity of the City Centre Airport. However, with it's agreed upon phased closure of such, it won’t exist much longer. Look for new buildings to finally push this 500 foot limit in the next couple of years.

This must be 490' the the top of those antennas I take it. It doesn't look like it would be taller than Manulife.

Edit: I see Onishenko's post explaining the height.
