Interior demo is definitely underway. There is some heavier machinery on site now. Sorry my picture is rather crumby.

does this site include the taller brick faced garage that's closer to 16th St. or does only take in the lower concrete structure?

You can't rush careful craftsman doing careful work taking apart a important historical building

I'm curious about this as well. Renderings suggested that the white garage was the only thing being replaced and the brick garage shown intact behind it (see posts 73 and 78).

However both structures seem to be part of the same property (they are actually connected inside by ramps/doors), which would lead me to believe they might be demolished at once.

Also the brick garage was slapped with a violation notice by L&I back on October 30th citing "falling masonry" and giving the owners 30 days to repair or demolish. The owners have put black netting over some sections of the building to comply....

By the time this is ready for construction, skyscrapers will be built by robots, the 30th Street District will be complete, and the Eagles will have won 13 Super Bowls.

They must be facing restrictions on noise that limit what equipment they can use. There is no other reason I can see for this taking so long.

This building will increase their property value. What are they complaining about.

Anyone know if this building is going to have a deep foundation for parking, etc.?

Hard to tell here, but they actually dug out a good bit of rubble from the former basement:
