Can anyone confirm this is indeed U/C? ie: has demo started?

I saw some equipment on site yesterday morning, but couldn't see any evidence of work yesterday evening. This morning there was a Horizon truck on site - likely disconnecting hydro from the Tim Horton's before demo. There was also a small bulldozer parked in the Dell Pharmacy parking lot - perhaps they have made an arrangement to store equipment here since it is such a tight site.

The equipment that has been on site is associated with the hydro construction in the area. They have been using it as a parking and staging area. No demo work has been started yet. I go by the site everyday, I'll let you know when they start the demo.

Same with me (drive by it every morning); all for Hydro, none for the condos.

Great News! Now everyone don't go get all too excited. I doubt the finished project will look as nice as the render (as they never, ever do for any project).

I'm still annoyed by the corner treatment (or lack there-of), and the obvious lack of retail in a spot which could have supported retail (return of 7-11?)

Yup!

The destruction was well underway when I drove by at about 8:30am.

Nice to see actual progress happening in this town.

Nice to see some progress. I purchased a unit in the building back in February and they recently called to finalise some architectual details. Looks like things are finally moving forward.
Thanks for the pics Dwils01

Crane construction to close Aberdeen for a day

http://www.thespec.com/news/local/ar...deen-for-a-day

Aberdeen Avenue will be closed between Hyde Park Avenue and Dundurn Street South Sunday for the installation of a large crane.

The street will be closed in both directions from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. so the crane can be set up at the site of a condo development at 427 Aberdeen Avenue.

The city says the HSR Aberdeen bus (Route 6) will be rerouted westbound from Aberdeen to Dundurn/Stanley/Linwood and back to Aberdeen. The eastbound bus will be rerouted from Aberdeen to MacDonald/Homewood/Dundurn and back to Aberdeen. The HSR will be using smaller buses during this time.

they've been using a huge mobile crane there for the past little while. Maybe it's enough to do the whole job?
