With that it would have the most floors in the world topping the 108 floors of the Sears Tower.

The 102 floor version was 474m (1555ft) tall, so I guess they want to make this the WTB, at least for a short time, with topping the 508m (1666ft) Taipei101.

How high will US7 be with nine more floors?

Do your math and get an approximate height.

IF assuming the nine added floors are of equal height as the original floors and the top fins stay the same off the main roofline, then a cross multiplication and division will give you the answer.

With the above assumption holding true, (things at the top could be modified), the new height of US7 would be approximately 515.8m or 1691 ft.

Lotta fun, lotta fun.

It shouldn't be 99 floors, I thought they have same number floors i.e. 30, 30a, 30b, to make up for lost floors?

According to the initial elevation, there are 103 floors on the tower, and 5-6 floors inside the podium.

Easy. You should remove the floors #4, 14, 24... as well as 13 and possibly 40.

some newspaper said the height will stay the same. They also said the GFA will stay the same. The-sun news and the propertystreet.net (the one that willie showed us).

the only scenario that i can think of is:
I assume that the GFA can really stay the same. I believe the only way to archieve that is to make an extension of atirum for the hotel section. They got approved to switch large amount of office gfa to hotel gfa sometime ago. But i guess the switched gfa were full floors (no atrium). They can make these full floor to become part of the atrium and move those extra gfa gained from the atrium to put up 9 more floors.
Since the floor-to-floor height for office are much higher than hotel's (typical of 4.5 vs 3m), they can use these difference to pack more floors in and keep the height to stay the same.

btw, i believe 111 floors are not including the floors in podium. According to skyscrapers.com standard, US7 has 117 floors. (6 floors in podium)

111 floors are actually floors i believe. I think a lot of people here already saw the elevation plan of the US7 from the new KPF book. You can count that it has 102 floor above podium and 6 floors at podium (108 above ground floors in total).

yeah i think those a,b,c floors compensate those missing floors ...
the final floor count should be 111floors(tower)&6floors(podium)
will there be an increase in overall height or ceiling height???

I'm finding this a little hard to beleive, IMO the higher a building gets the more chance there is of a "scale-down"

If it's really a 111-story building, then it might be another "lesson" to the developers of the new WTC.

I'm sure some height increas will happen as a result of an extra nine floors. Original height was 1555 ft ech. With the extra added floors it suggests 1675 ft but if they shorten the floor ratio, the maybe 1600 ft will be surpassed.

This is why perhaps technical information is slow. They were changing the plan again. Hopefully they got it solved and get the building rising above ground soon.

With 117 floors, that is nothing to laugh at. Maybe that extra floor for that lucky number 8 will happen Aboveday.

I also like the design a lot.
