Washington Square

Can anyone post recent photos of Washington Square? I'm a future resident of Tower Two, living in Los Angeles, and would just like to see the progress

I'm having trouble posting pics on this server. Can somebody give me step by step instructions.

Washington square is definately going to be really nice. You won't have to worry about hearing your neighbors above or below witht the all concrete construction.

ramblings

I will be posting many pics very soon. I've now got a tripod so the pics will be ultra sharp. I've been trying to find a good angle to snap the Bellevue towers pit or what's left of it. By January 1st, the Bellevue Towers should be well above street level. Some sections already are above street level.

After about 10 years of talk, the Hyatt will finally be expanded officially. I know 007 has posted the proposed Hyatt expansion. The newspaper says they will break ground spring 2007. The Seattle Times says March/April. They better relocate the Wendy's, even if they have to put it in the hotel.

After watching the welders repair the cracked crane at Bravern, I started thinking. The name Bravern really sucks, but that was not what I was thinking about. Seattle including the eastside used to have cranes with Baugh construction everywhere in the 1980's. In the 1990's Sellen seemed to be building everything. Today, we have builders from all over the country. Turner, built Qwest Field, Mortenson, Skanska can't remember who's building Washington Square (Utah developer). Construction companies from all over the United States are building and developing the new developments on the eastside.

I think it's about time Bellevue lifts the height limit from 450ft to maybe 750ft. If builders build public space I know they earn more height on projects. I don't think they can exceed 450ft right now.

Seattle lifted their height restrictions with serious fees for monster buildings. I still remember when the Columbia Tower was built in 1983. We need more giant monsters. After all, we have paragren falcons who need new homes.

Finally, it looks as if the crane collapse was a design and installation failure. Most people do not seem too worried another crane will topple. I know I'm not worried.

The weather tonight was absolutely crazy in downtown Bellevue. It was raining extremely hard with high winds. I was driving home and thinking about how tall some of those tower cranes now seem. I am glad that they went and checked the other cranes, I feel safe driving under them for now.
