Oh my god. I am in love with Portland! I've always considered it the best example of a "perfect" city in the U.S. Thanks!

i'll admit that my comment was uninformed -- i saw a picture on an internet message board and commented on it on an internet message board. i now see that you make ample use of ass. that doesn't change the fact that it's off putting that your sign says a**, when the sign is the first thing people see. a conversation for your landlord, perhaps, but it's still true.

anyway, i take back the "i'll never dine there" comment. i'm a man of principle but even principle sometimes act in haste.
I want a big-ass sandwich now.

That last shot is gold. Based on my dealings with Portlanders, I wouldn't expect anyone to get that angry.

The way they finished the note was soooooo Portland though.

I'm hoping to get to the other side of the Willamette today and do some photo exploration of some of the urban neighborhoods over there.

I'd recommend exploring the Hollywood area, especially on Sandy. I always wanted to spend some time shooting there myself ever since I drove by the Hollywood Theater.

I think you quoted the wrong picture.

But yeah, that was my first time at a "professional" soccer game. Needless to say, I am now a HUGE Timbers fan. Best fan experience of my life.

We should catch a game sometime. None of us Portlanders have met up yet like we said we would months ago!

Great shots! I need to get out to this part of the country. One of the few remaining areas I've never been to.

It's no Clark Mills though...

Portland has nothing on Clark Mills.

I've always wondered where you get some of your shots, you definitely found some good vantage points.

I must say that Portland has one of the best flags of any city in the nation. It's just such a unique, yet clean and aesthetically pleasing design.

Oh and that statement also goes for the city of Portland! One of the best cities in the nation, and by far the most photogenic! Portland can't help it but look good!

Wow! Why didn't I notice this thread earlier? What a journey! You have a gift...you captured the essence and fabric of the city I love. Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing more of your work...seriously. I am so homesick.
