Doors Open London

Anyone going to Doors Open London this weekend? The event is held 10-4 on Saturday and Sunday at various locations in the city.

Website: http://www.doorsopenlondon.ca/home/

I'll be at the planning department around 11 tomorrow and may check out a few other places as well.

I'll definitely be checking out a couple places around downtown.

Old Vic is at the top of my list. It's pretty crazy that this will be the first and last time South Street Hospital will be doing Doors Open.

I would love to see the Chisholm Building at 142 Dundas Street, and the planning department. I am interested in seeing the buildings restored.

I was really hoping to go to some sights, but unfortunately I will be busy.

I heard the top floor of city hall will be open, methinks one would get some nice skyline pictures from there.

Turns out I went to the top of City Hall today... but I didn't bring my camera. Wasn't planning on going there

Took some pics with my cell phone though. Here's a few of them:

^Awesome! That's just what I was craving. Those pics were pretty good for a cell phone.

I really like those 2 red brick apartments in the first one, especially the one to the right (what an overlooked beauty!). They add a much needed splash of colour to that end of the skyline.

Thanks. I recently got a new cell phone which actually takes decent pics (5MP).

That tower on the left is Picton Place.
-A little bit of trivia: a lot of the London Knights call that place home. It's been like that since it opened.

Anyone going to south street hospital or anywhere else today?

You guys know you don't have to wait for doors open right? The cafe on top of City Hall is open to the public everyday of the week.

Oh yeah I go for lunch there anytime I have assessment hearings at City Hall. I always see students from the High School and anyone else you were doing business at City Hall around lunch. It certainly is not for city employees only.

I think it was at one time but there was a big stink raised about tax payers subsidizing city hall staff's lunches.
