This is a very cool pic of Brookfield Place. When are people going to be moving in?

Does anybody have any insider scoop into the construction of the West Tower or is it on indefinate hiatus?

Hopefully in indefinite hiatus. I only wish they would finish the glass atrium at the bottom and come up with a completely different design for the second tower.

^ I think it'd be super cool to have a set of twins there. The design is sophisticated and timeless enough I think it'd look spectacular

I would just like to say for the record that Brookfield has so badly botched the crown of this tower with that weird clear glazing that it has singlehandedly destroyed any hope I had of their Manhattan West towers looking any good.

It’s a shame as it appeared that this was going to be a very nice tower. The rest of it still is, honestly. But that crown is actual vomit.

Okay, edit: too harsh. Still, the difference in glazing just bothers the heck out of me.

Ouch, I guess?

Can’t update something that does not exist.

If there aren’t any updates here, then no you didn’t miss anything.

But there is indeed supposed to be crown lighting right? But we don't know what it's supposed to look like yet?

Okay, scratch that. I was being a bit harsh. Overall I actually quite like this tower, I just agree with others’ statement that the sudden change to transparent glass at the top detracts from the design, and it’s especially concerning to me as an NYC-area forumer given the similarities between this tower and Manhattan West. Ultimately though I’m going to wait before I pass judgment on both of them. Looking forward to seeing the crown lighting finished on this one.

Perhaps the relative transparency is pertinent to the crown light workings? I don't know, but it might be a reason.

Crown lit up last night a pinky-blue colour. Looked awesome. Anyone know whether there are any tenants moving in soon besides Scotia Bank??

Would it kill anyone to get a picture of the crown lighting? I'm dying to see it in full.

Daemon, if you're out and about at night, maybe you can get a pic?

If you really want to see a pic badly, there are tons over at SRC
