This morning. The core of this reminds me of a V-12 engine block from the N-S view.

Great, they were installing big metal mounting fins on the angled mounts on the core yesterday and this morning. Hopefully we'll be seeing the cantilever start to form any day now.

It also looks like they've opened up holes in the climbing forms for a second set of large embedded mounts at the "top" of the cantilever. This project is about to get even more interesting.

Wow, this is getting very interesting.....gotta try to make it over there tomorrow or next week to see some of this in person.....

I would also think we'll very soon start seeing that heavy steel work go up on the direct south side of the core, just as we are now on the near north side of it.....

Sure enough saw them lifting these huge beams into the core formwork. Workers confirmed they are embedded in the core to tie the top of the cantilever together:

^Good capture. What a unique rig. These beams aren't being set directly on the core.. they must have to be finagled into place using the chain falls you see on the left side of the spreader bar. This project gets more interesting by the hour!

Yes, the workers I was talking too said the forms are not wide enough for them to just drop it directly into place, they need to lower it in on an angle and then drop and slide it into place.

That's the neatest looking construction site i've ever seen. It must be nice to work on this one.

^ Must be nice going from almost zero space for staging to nearly 2 acres of staging virtually overnight when they did the deck pour.

Also, if you look carefully at the ironwork that has gone up you can already see a nice little structurally expressive detail coming out. The steel framed portion of the "stem" is slightly skinnier than the concrete core. If you look at the renderings you can see that there is indeed a little bevel between the steel and concrete portions of the stem once completed. I like the demarcation between the materials even though they are covering up this fantastic cross bracing.
