ctown, the new towers in that pano are based on the 3 tower sketch of the Exchange, possibly ~60 floors. When the real renderings are released I will replace it. It just kind of gives an idea of how much the south view could be blocked from the tower.

No, its a residential complex being built next to Keynote on Centre street. The name of the project is "The Exchange"

It's kind of ridiculous how much time that developers take in putting up the buildings...it's only going to cost them more in the long run, it would be much cheaper if you build it ASAP after it gets approved.

These renderings are just totally awesome, thank you for doing them. I used to try and do the same thing years ago with a pencil and paper but of course that can't give you what these renderings you've done do. A total 3D view of Calgary's future.

It has actually been a little over a year. The design work on a project like this takes a couple years to get right so the DP can be applied for and released in short order. The designers are working with the city, the client, and the community to ensure that the design will satisfy everybody, and that there will be no snags once they are ready to go. The DP is underway i believe, and should be in at the city this summer (i hope anyway).

That renderring of "Exchange" is fantastic!! I hope they go with a two tower project, then there might be a chance of having a 70 story and a 55-60 story tower in the same developement!

I think the 3 tower option will be the one that they go with. Could still be 60 storeys!!

PLT actually looks pretty good there in the "looking north..." picture.
