Not too bad looking at all. Unless they keep getting scaled back, then they will start looking like typical Ottawa lego blocks.

The height and scale work for me. I think they will be a decent addition to the skyline in the area. Finally starting to see some height being added west of downtown!

I like the hight.

However, despite the multi-coloured panels, there's really nothing special about it. I agree with J.OT - seems like 1980's POMO all over again.

i can't decide whether i'm more excited about this one or about Claridge Icon. Icon would be anchor to a new community of skyscraper condos...this would be anchor to a new secondary CBD....

The link between the two tall towers is only 2-3 stories; the 6 story tower is on the eastern edge of the property, although in the render from the Ottawa Sun it looks like it's connected to the 32 story tower beside it for the entire 6 floors.

In Ottawa, I think developers are calling anything over 4 stories high a "tower", as it is such an achievement against all the NIMBYism.

They switched it up again; now with a condo tower.

35,000 sqft could fit a grocery store. Too bad the building looks 1980s Montreal.

If they're serious about a hotel, then this project has to be twenty years off, because I can't see a hotel working there until the western parcels of Lebreton and the Bayview yards are developed, and the site finally looks like what it always already should have been: the near west side of downtown.

Also, that slab condo tower is just offensive.

Back to the drawing board, please.

The future area map makes lebreton flats and bayview yards look like communist housing projects.

I think that you can expect the Bayview Yards plan (from 2005-06) to change with the updated CDP this Spring, architectural tastes have changed, and the density targets have increased significantly since the concept for this site was developed in the context of the old NSLRT plan.

I hope you're right. I was never a fan of the plans for Lebreton or Bayview. I have no idea why we would want one developer making uniform blocks. We need variety! We need Potsdamer Platz!
