Someone in the Canada section said this was 140 meters... this thread says 103 meters, and the render looks 103 meters. Which one is correct?

the 103m was the original proposal in 2009 but has since been modified (the thread title has not been changed)

elevations

http://webcast.ottawa.ca/plan/All_Im...0Rationale.PDF

zoning
http://ottawa.ca/sites/ottawa.ca/fil...hedule_291.pdf

Tower 1 has the zoning for 132.5 metres. The proposal is for 132.4 metres plus a mechanical penthouse of 8.4 metres (see the elevations) for a total height of 140.4 metres

Tower 2 is 122.5 metres + 8.4 metres = 130.9 metres.

Jeff Polowin has been meeting top staff and even emailed the City manager on this file. Perhaps a further rezoning is coming up.

Firstly, I was just wondering what was happening with this project? (The application seems to be on hold)

And secondly, I'm wondering if a library could be incorporated in the bottom of this project under the city's proposed P3 scheme (especially since, according to recent rumours, a Library is not included in any of the 5 submissions for the redevelopment of LeBreton Flats)?

A lot of Phoenix projects seem to become vapor these days.

Also, the renders seem to show it going over the O-Train tracks and fully enclosed connection to the station...

all I can say is that Ottawa will benefit from Trinity's bold move into the highrise market here. Its actually a breath of fresh air.

here is some more lobbying by Mr. Polowin, this time for Trinity meeting with Councillors Leiper and McKenney in December, as well as the City's top planners earlier in 2014.

So we might see a new design for it. Exiting stuff. I like that they're narrow, but I'm having trouble understanding how narrow (they look really slender).

It looks like they posted a squeezed version of the original.. I removed it from the original post but here it is again for reference (look at the trains compared to the other version)

1,100,000 sf of Office and Residential in the towers and 342,000 sf of Retail on three levels. Look at all those truck bays! Could this be for a single large retailer or is it more likely several retailers? I guess it's not going to be a Target

One thing has certainly changed since the Councillor with the withering looks is no longer around. That Ward is getting lobbied. Previously, the lobbyist industry basically gave that ward a wide berth in any lobbying activity even when the application was in the ward.

I noticed that. But do the towers still like much narrower than the original, bulky ones proposed? I'm surprised they may ask for a height increase!

i wonder if they reconsidered their plans for the site after hearing about the sens interest in building an arena across the street.

regardless of why, this plan looks great.

Hmm...looks like we have a solid contender for new tallest! This is VERY exciting. I wonder if the roof height of the tallest towers would be as high as the roof height of Place De Ville Tower C...I doubt it, as Tower C is on a rather large hill. Regardless, these would really add to the skyline from the West!

I like that this building is right up against Albert St. The previous proposal had a driveway and parking lot before Albert and the building.
