The west and south facades are almost completely down, we might see this pick up pace over the next few weeks.

There's for sure one, possibly two pile drivers along the west side of Manulife. Can throw another one in the u/c bucket.

Definitely 2, second one went together yesterday.

The Maywer building is quite the sight as it has it's cladding removed, likely going to see this speed up as the finish that process.

What is interesting is that they technically could start construction even as the Mawer is being disassembled, as the majority of the new tower's footprint will be on the already-demolished Quincy's and Parkade site.

Yeah, noticed a mobile crane removing concrete panels yesterday. Most of the remaining floors are completely gutted including the exterior, just some structural columns and floor plates left. Shouldn't be too long until fully demo'd now.

It's too bad someone couldn't get a timelapse of them demolishing this building, would be pretty cool to watch.

I'd have to go with Eau Claire, Telus Sky, then this one. I'm hoping the glass can be really clear like the rendering shows, would make this my favourite midrise building in the city (currently Centrium).

I've got to go with Eau Claire #1, Sky #2, maybe even MRV #3.

I like Manulife as an office tower, plus it has great interiors, but other than the fact that it looks pretty and widens the sidewalk, it has no real effect on the city. It's kind of just another sterile office building with a sterile lobby that will be totally dead 15 hours/day. I like the sleek aesthetic, I just prefer projects that imagine more creative flexible uses that respond to their environment. Honestly, street level access to retail would have brought this project to another level for me.

Manulife is a 20th Century conception built with 21st Century technology.

If Manulife was a 7-800 footer... It would be my favorite in the city! Sometimes size matters... LOL!

The above can easily be said about the Bow, and in fact I think the Manulife tower executes and looks better than the Bow (other than height).

This is a beautiful tower, but will have little effect on the CBD overall. I was much more excited to see Place10 along the tracks get going with all that retail space. I hope Marriott Residences and WAM on 10th follow soon. As far as I can tell 6th on 10th appears to be a hoax.

Seems they may have had an issue when they moved the excavator down a level last week, it looks like it may have slipped when it was moving down the ramp to the next level. Yesterday they were working on the front of the boom where it might have contacted the floor and today they are replacing the wood on the ramp. Additionally they haven't moved the excavator this week, only removal of the exterior has been going on.

Edit: the above is speculation only from the observed items

Clearly I meant in the diagram section of SSP. Sorry I assumed most people reading on this site would know that. If I wanted a rendering, which I think is what you mean then I'd look on the first page of this thread.

I would have done it by now but the design is way too advanced for my extremely limited diagraming skills. Boris would be the best for it.

Is there any proposed use at grade - or is it just an expansive lobby?
