Given its location, this will surprise people once they see how it looks and its height. Likewise for 80 S. Street. We here know about it, but the masses don't. Well, unless you're part of the NIMBY plankton that are trying to fight anything along the Seaport. They know well and clear whats going on, and they will like, and they will accept it.

I'm looking forward to this project. I was looking forward to 125 Greenwich, but after that mess, and Shvo failing again, 45 Broad and 80 South are the future for Lower Manhattan.

.....The panel at the City Museum reinvigorated the debate, even though the evening was, by all accounts, subdued. Panelists took care not to talk over one another, and audience members quietly wrote questions on note cards. Many of the panelists really like supertalls. John Cetra, AIA, whose firm CetraRuddy is constructing one of them at 45 Broad Street in Lower Manhattan; Michael Sillerman, whose law firm, Kramer Levin, counsels developers building supertalls; and Carol Willis, director of the Skyscraper Museum, which has curated multiple exhibitions on the buildings, all bristled at MAS’s suggestion that they will mar the city’s skyline or make it “accidental.”

“I certainly think it is surprising,” Cetra said of the changing skyline, “but accidental is the wrong terminology.” They argued that creativity and change make New York great.

A: We are fortunate to have a number of different projects. In our residential practice, we are working on a super tall tower at 45 Broad Street. This 1,100-foot-tall mixed-use tower will encompass 206 condominium units and 60,000 square feet of office space. We are also working on a 520 unit condominium tower on the far west side of Manhattan as well as a new hotel/residential tower in the Hudson Yards.
