I thought the first six floors were supposed to be hotel rooms and the rest apartments or condos. I know its late in the game to be just now realizing this, but I just went back to the beginning of the posts out of boredom and saw that post about the parking. The earlier renderings don't appear to have above ground parking. Regardless, I'm glad the parking levels are done, the rest should go up a bit quicker now. I do like the transition floor height.
I've always been confused about what which renderings were the final ones.

So it looks 4 levels from the neighboring residential will be looking at a blank wall or an open parking garage.

So when is the setback?

It seems like the setback isn't nearly wide enough to prevent most of the south side of Plaza Lofts from being blocked?

Also, is the old gingerman facade still being built into this?

Yea your right. I wonder if the value of those south facing apartments/condos? are about to drop?.

One thing that I do like about the building is the brickwork as well as the warehouse style lower section.

I agree! As "blah" as the design looks in some of the renderings, I really appreciate the brick.

I think a power wash and paint job is way overdue on Hobby. Speaking of paint jobs, the exterior of Zsa Zsa looks pretty light. Are we just seeing a sub base?

It will most likely be painted black with weatherproofing then the brick will go on top of it.

If only they would tear that section of Hobby down. Its hideous and has no street interaction. The glass tower section looks great and would look even better as a standalone. Having a corner plaza/mini park on that corner would add a nice element to the Warehouse District.

This building is going up sluggishly. I would have figured once they were done with the parking levels that things would start to pick up.

"Sluggish" is a good way to describe it. This has been underway for a long time.
I still don't know exactly what the final product will look like. I've mentioned that a couple times before. But what I mean is the floor count (25) in the approved site plan doesn't match the floor count in what appears to be recent renderings. Does anyone know if Gables is still part of this or is this only a hotel now?

They’ve taken a lot of info off the ZaZa website. Not that there was much there to begin with, but somehow now there seems even less.
