I got lucky lol. Gotta love Earthcam. Sometimes I watch the Times Square one because I see goofy and odd things happen. There seems to always some man with long hair holding a green Jesus sign. I've seen that guy too, in Newark Penn. Has long hair. Almost like Jesus himself. Only Jesus didn't have a pony tail. Him and his hippie, heroine looking addict girl friend always seem to want people to know about Jesus. Non believers such as myself just laugh. (Because its all made up ) If there's one thing people should trust, its science, and not voodoo.

They have been disassembling the main crane for the last week and a half. It's down to the 32nd floor. They have also turned the crown lights on at night the last few days and I have to say it looks much better than the renders showed. It has a pleasant soft amber glow that looks fantastic. The building lines directly up with Washington St in Hoboken. It almost has a WTC feel in a sense when viewed from that angle.

Cladding remains to be installed on the top 3 floors, then it's just the construction elevator opening this thing up. I'm looking forward to completion of the base work. The cladding on the garage looks really sharp in the renders.

What's up with the crowns looking unfinished. Is it getting the same treatment as the NY Times building?

Enjoy the View From New Jersey's Tallest Residential Tower

Quote:
On the west side of the Hudson River, Jersey City is asserting itself as a major corporate and residential centre within the New York City metro area. Last September, URL® Harbourside developed by Ironstate and Mack-Cali Realty, and designed by architects concrete and HLW International topped off. At 69 storeys and 217 metres in height, the tower has become New Jersey's tallest residential building and is now dominating the rapidly changing Jersey City skyline.

I actually think this looks great as one tower. The others with the same design may look cheesy. They should change the design on the others.

I tend to agree. On its own it's a very unique tower, though with two others like it side-by-side it may be a bit overkill. Either way though, I'm anxious to see the other components of the development take shape.

Actually, I think a cluster of these would look mighty impressive. Giant family of massive jenga towers sounds like something I'd like to see.

my favorite part about Jenga towers will be when the tenants move in and have plants hanging off those balconies.. the effect will be truly stunning on 56 Leonard, which i imagine will end up looking like something out of a sci-fi/fantasy movie.

I beg to differ of that opinion: the three towers look better than just building one tower alone. And the fact that the horizontals offset on each tower makes this project very unique and modern, indeed!!! If only we had at least in Philadelphia!!!
