The OMB is such an important tool. I wish we had an equivalent of it in California.

55 Lakeshore looks rather like a taller version of ICE, which is not a bad thing.

...

ADDRESS // 21 Don Roadway

SIZE & SCOPE // 12-million sf of Office and Retail Space
SERVICES PROVIDED // Development, Leasing, Construction and Finance
WEBSITE // http://project21.firstgulf.com

ALL ROADS LEAD TO EAST HARBOUR. Located on a 60-acre site directly east of Toronto’s downtown core, East Harbour is the largest commercial project currently planned in Canada. Once complete, this 12-million square foot, unique mix of office, retail, and institutional developments will employ approximately 50,000 workers. With the population of the GTA estimated to reach 9.4-million by 2041, Toronto needs a major new employment node in order to maintain a competitive advantage in the global competition for talent. East Harbour will be a development catalyst for critical infrastructure projects in and around the area, and will transform a previously inaccessible site into a world-class centre for art, commerce, and healthy living.

Possibly, but there should be tons of residential in the vicinity if everything proposed comes to pass. I like the stylish rail deck.

Hariri Pontarini, while designing The Well:

Hariri Pontarini: Hey Foster! You going to finish those fries?
Norman Foster: I can't, mate. I'm absolutely stuffed!
Hariri Pontaini: Yoink!

In all seriousness, I love this design, and hope it's built as is. It just screams that it was taken directly out of Foster's playbook. Which, there are far worse playbooks to steal from.

The base looks good but the tower is one of those awful designs that seem to be proliferating all over the place.
