St Regis hotel, located at the intersection of Midosuji Avenue and
Honmachi street, in the central business of Osaka city.





Midosuji Avenue is 4km long and 44m wide, and connects Umeda,
Nakanoshima, Yodoyabashi, Honmachi, Shinsaibashi, and Namba.
Along the Avenue lie a variety of business, shopping, restaurant and
amusement facilities, which together contribute to teh popularity of
the Midosuji Avenue area.
Midosuji Avenue is lined with department stores and luxury brand shops.

Building Uses: Office Hotel Retail New Festival Hall

Rebuilding the Head Office and Creating Two Skyscrapers.
The eastern of the structure is to be completed in 2013 and western
part in 2018.



Shin-Asahi Building & Festival Hall
Demolition work will start within few months.


The Festival Hall has closed temporary last December.
A new Festival Hall with the same 2,700 seating capacity.

I love this thread! Although Tokyo is my favorite city in the world, I think the Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe area represents the best possible combination of working/living in Japan. You have the big city life of Osaka, the hundreds of sights of Kyoto and the relaxed, almost resort-like atmosphere of Kobe!

There are many differences between Tokyo and Osaka, but i like
both cities.
They are the two biggest cities in Japan.

The Kanasai region (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara) is the cultural and
historical heart of Japan.
Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe is a metropolitan area that is centered on the cities
of Osaka in the Osaka prefecture.
Osaka-kyoto-kobe metoropolitan area population is 17,220,000.

Go-Ahead: Osaka station North District Development Project

Osaka Station is the largest tarnsportaion hub in westernJapan.
Often referred to as the last piece of prime undeveloped land in the
central Osaka as a spacious 24-hectare open area to the north
of the station is to be about transformed into a vibrant international
community.
While further developing the function of osaka as a creative city,
the transformed north district will serve as a base for the creation
of new industries and business projects while delivering the latest
in information and technological developments.

The "Knowledge capital" is scheduled to be built over 7 hectares on
the east section of the JR Osaka Staion Nroth District.

The Kitahama Tower Plaza is located 1 km south-east from JR Osaka Station.
It takes 15-20 min walk or 5-10 min by subway.

The Kitahama Tower & Plaza will be tallest residential apartment building
in Japan.
