Thanks for the update!

From what I last saw they look like they still have about 8-9 floors of exterior walls/windows to go. Also, from what I can tell the pace has slowed down on them considerably, as they appear to be doing a floor a week rather than roughly 2 per week.

I also noticed that they installed some balcony glass samples on the south-east corner.

Yes it was green, not as harsh as the accent pillar on west facing side of the building though.

I took a photo of it the other day.

Photos are my own:

For reference this is what the balconies looked like from the model in the showroom:

Yeah I'm pretty certain this is not representative of the actual railings that will be used. Otherwise, I imagine most people will be very hard-pressed to allow their pets onto their balcony .

Update:
  • There are 2 floors left of exterior windows to go up now.
  • They've installed laminate/wood(?) panels on the underside of the roof of the penthouse suites
  • I haven't see any traction regarding the balcony railings/glass.

This one topped out a bit taller than MET1.

Thanks for the update! Sad how the mid-2000s' Highgate towers look better than a lot of the eastern Metrotown cluster (MET 1 & 2, Midori, etc.), despite having been sold at 1/3rd the price.

At least the Highgate towers had a sense of solidity and symmetry to them, instead of a box of cheap glazing and spandrel.

Pretty obviously 'inspired' by Aqua in Chicago, but it turned out pretty well.

Not nearly as well executed, though.

It sails perilously close to 'gimmicky' land, but at least it stands out a little from that little cluster of towers in that block.
But just a bit.

Cool thanks for updated photos!

To summarize the most recent changes on site:
  • the awning(?) has been installed at the entrance
  • the dark facade is/has been installed on podium ~ townhomes
  • wood(?) panels are being installed on the inner walls outside of the entrance
  • balcony railings have been installed on the south-west corner

It would be very interesting to see how the finishing touch on those curve balconies looks like.

That'll make the look of the building.

Office Procrastinator posted a test panel pic on Feb 1st.
