I wouldn't be too worried.

They had an RFP for the project through OCII that ended 5/2:

http://sfocii.org/rfps-rfqs-bids

And they just received their shoring permits on 5/6:

http://dbiweb.sfgov.org/dbipts/defau...&ShowPanel=BID

Now that they've wrapped up the above items, I'd expect activity within the month.

Also, I'm not sure how reliable this is, but the article below from Dezeen Magazine (April 29th) states it will break ground "in just a few weeks":

Quote:
More examples of signature architecture are tentatively sprouting across the city. Three blocks away, OMA New York, with the help of San Francisco-based Fougeron Architecture, has designed a zigzagging tower set to break ground in just a few weeks.

I decided what we needed was another shot of this empty lot as we all wait on the edge of our seats

at least we have bonus 41 Tehama and 500 Folsom in the background

I noticed that the Related California site for the project now says: "Construction is slated to begin in Fall 2016..."

I don't think it said that previously, but at least we now have more information.

On the DBI website, it shows that the project was required to obtain an additional excavation permit:

http://dbiweb.sfgov.org/dbipts/defau...=PermitDetails

That might be what's holding things up -- permit has yet to be issued.

The additional permit was issued yesterday, 9/22. We could see this moving soon.

Looks like this is breaking ground next week. SFDPW just posted permit signs on the fence regarding street space usage by Webcor, the developer. The permit's from 10/10/16 to April 2017.

Anyone know about the foundation on this one?

After the Leaning Tower of Millennium debacle,,,,,,,

Hopefully this one does not have the same kind of foundation. For a 56 story tower. the builder and architect should anchor it to bedrock-- as they have done with 181 and Salesforce.

I am not an engineer or architect. But! I understand marketing. If things get really ugly with Millennium, this will have a serious impact on all the condo towers in the immediate vicinity.

Does anyone know about the foundation on this one?

PS: I really like this angle or view. Hopefully, this is the final design.

of course, I had to go take a look today.

at some point, someone knocked over the glass samples that had been sitting on the site for months, but I don't see much other change
