My predictions:

Ottawa brings Hamilton back to earth with a big win
Winnipeg will ride its hot hand and squeak by the Stampeders

^ Ha... the stage is set for me to go 2 for 2, but the Bombers are going to need to rack up a few passing yards in the second half for that to happen!

Calgary's defence finally looked like the D we saw at the beginning of the year. The offence wasn't spectacular but did enough to win. Can they finally get over the hump and not choke this year? That's the huge question. Definitely a pick em IMO.

Was kind of sad to see Dressler walking off the field - I hope its not the end of the line for him. That guy is all heart.

This is very cool. I wish more Canadian cities would put effort like this into celebrating sport, especially Canadian sports.

Should be one hell of a party. Something like 55 events over 5 days.

IF the Stamps choke again, I think the team will have a really hard time selling tickets next year. BLM is garnering some interest south of the border now, so if they win he's probably off to the NFL.

They missed the last part of his rant, so I think there was more to it, likely said "Fucking Canadian Football League" or something to that effect.

It may have been mafia (Miller/Walters/O'Shea). Story is being updated as we post.

I think I heard or read this quickly, but can't recall where, but did I dream or had Trevor Harris before yesterday lost something like 38 playoff games in a row, going back to college and high school?

Did anyone else hear this?

I just hope that all those Winnipeg "fans" don't turn on them like they did earlier in the season and pressure the club into major changes. Steady goes the course, they have Nichols and Streveler (who looks to be a real up and comer) and a pretty decent core of Canadian talent. Despite the loss, I think they are in an upward trajectory as compared to other clubs in the west.

Derek Dennis confirmed on twitter it was "f'ing Canadian Mafia", which is funny!

I'd find that stat hard to believe. Considering football playoffs are usually single-elimination you generally don't get more than one shot a year at losing a playoff game, so given Trevor Harris is only 32 (and probably didn't start playing football until he was maybe at least grade school age) I don't know how he'd rack up 38 playoff losses in the first place.

And also, if a team has a QB talented enough to make it to the pros, it's unimaginable that they wouldn't win a few games on the strength of that alone. I remember when I was a kid playing with a couple older guys who dominated games and seemed like invincible he-men and still, a few years later they barely made it onto a CIS roster, let alone into the CFL. Having a guy destined to become a starting pro QB would be an unbelievable weapon in a high school game.

As a Rider fan, I hate that you are correct on this. It's likely next year is going to be the year Calgary is no longer at the top of the West, and with Edmonton spinning their wheels and the Riders continuing Chris Jones' Wild Ride it leaves Winnipeg in a very good position competitively.
