I'm sorry, but this tower is hideous!

It's not so much the tower that's the problem (although it's not exactly beautiful), but the site plan.

This should have been in NY, no doubt about it. It's a simple, elegant design, a proud structure. The mockup above should be reality.

The only thing I could crit is that it's not in NY, and that the spire is a little short.

^^^ I have the exact opposite opinion. I find the design quite classy and its proportions very attractive. Actually, it might be my favorite proposal in recent years.

It is very classy. Manages to look very slick, despite the purported brown stone facade. Hope it turns out very similar to these renders.

Classy! A 21st Century version of a plain 1970's box! Looks great.

I love this tower. It looks like a New York style skyscraper, which would have looked amazing in the New York skyline if the same design was proposed for the new WTC.

Not to start a city vs. city, but I believe you mean a "Chicago Style" skyscraper since most of the designs this is referencing came from Chicago and the Second Bauhaus.

True! China hires a lot of American Architects, and from what i know they are mostly Chicagoan architects!

I really like this tower. If I was a Billionaire I'd build it in my back yard.

It's been said before, but I wish a tower like this had been proposed for 1WTC. It looks like a modern version of 70 Pine or 40 Wall street, and its silhouette would have brought lower Manhattan right back to its 1930's glory. KPF (which is a New York firm, btw) seems to do more spectacular work out of town.

Could do without the gold, but it still fits. The second tower looks like American Commerce Center.

These appear to be borring samples.

These samples will be analyzed in order to assist with the structural design and construction.
