Hotel X is hardly out of sight. It's a disaster through and through. Architecturally, it's not quite up there with 365 Church. Jury is still out on the re-imagined 401 Bay. Right now, yawn is the best description.

Hotel X is the kind of crap Uptown Waterloo or downtown London would be grateful to get. As a gateway building into downtown Toronto for many, it's an embarrassment.

Steel delivery for the NFB building redevelopment (brick facade on the left). Lots of other newer buildings visible too.

Amazing streetscape, also the juxtaposition of old and new.

Looking forward to seeing how Yonge and Rich's (still hate the name) podium turns out.

First steps towards the construction of an underwater parking lot, part of the Queen's Marque project on Lower Water Street.

Thanks for the construction picture Hali87.

It is nice to see this progressing. Queen's Marque really will be partly underwater, but reportedly it will be watertight and there is no chance of it floating away (at least this is what has been reported)

Here is how it will look when finished in 3 years time: (source: http://www.metronews.ca/news/halifax...novation-.html )

I'd be more worried about it leaking, especially if they expect me to park my car down there.

I hope they add a few inches of waterproofing for spring tides, tidal surges & sea level rise..........

Didn't expect TOM to have a roof like that, nor it being something like 130m. A pleasant surprise.

Indeed, one of the worst condo names ever. Not something easily achieved.
