Is it just me, or do they seem to be making construction progress at about twice the typical rate for a high-rise?

Oh man, looking like it wont be long before it pops above street (streets?) level. Can't wait until it starts making a skyline impact!

I think theres a couple folks who live in this area of LSE on this forum, how has the noise impact been on the inside of your apartment/condo? I suppose worse for Coast and Regatta. I know they soundproof pretty well but 4 years of that noise has got to get annoying, especially getting home from work when the construction goes later. But hey, part of city life. Just curious.

I think you nailed it. Generally people aren't home when the construction is going on. It's probably annoying early in the morning, but in the evening it's over before one comes home.

You get used to the noise, just like living by the L or under a flight path. Honestly, the biggest noise maker was when they were jack hammering Wacker drive. The caisson work was not too bad. My fiancé who works from home says her only issue is that they start work at like 6AM including Saturday but now that the jack hammering and cassion work has stopped it isn't an issue anymore. She's not nearly the skyscraper geek that I am, but she is enjoying the show.

I look directly doww on to the site, at the current pace of construction I don't know how much longer I will be looking down on the site. Sure, I have previously posted some pictures on the thread, and will do so when I get some time in the future.

Thank you. I would appreciate if you could tell me how you got the pictures to show up. I thought I had it figured out, but when I pasted the link form Imgur, the picture did not show up.

Make sure the link for the pic ends in " .jpeg" or ".pgm". Also, be warey of sites like bizjournal for example that have a bunch of "X's" in the url link. Those won't work given the embedding. You have to extract them and either convert them to a different format.

When posting photos, use the "insert image button

"(place link here)

[/IMG]

In between the two "IMG" tags, you place the image url. Just make sure to have the order of "/" correct if not using the image button.

I recommend using the advanced editor mode. That's all I use. Allows for more features.

The insert image pic is to the left of the quote symbol, and has a little display of a mountain image. A quick way of doing it is copy the image url using "control C", click insert image button, and press "control + V". It'll do it all in three steps and is quick.

In the case of imgur, just drag the pic from imgur into the desktop, and bam, you have a jpeg. Than just use the steps above.

Now for the case of images that are seriously impeded, sites that use protections, the ones where 99% can't extract it, there are tricks to get past that...

right click the image on windows or ctrl click the image on mac then select copy image address or copy image url. Use that url instead of the url you were using.

What's the deal with the far western portion, where nothing is happening? Is that section starting later, being much shorter?
