Great shots NYCLuver and Arawooho!

EDIT: an old pic but gives you an impression of just how massive the Midtown plateau is. You really need a 1000 footer there to leave a mark ...

I would think the early part of 2013, and I would also assume cladding should be done by October or November.

It still has the protective film on it, so it will look different (see previous pages- base cladding).

The facade is pretty creative but I never had a connection with it.Maybe later on as the facade reaches its final height and the protective film is removed, maybe then, the facade will become prevalent.

It's just the angle, and the fact that there are open windows, etc. Trust me, this cladding looks like a waterfall once the film is peeled off and you can see it straight on. That's honestly the ugliest picture of this cladding I've ever seen.

Does anyone know why it seems there's been no vertical progress?

I believe they're on a mechanical floor. People have speculated that the crown will be made from steel rather than concrete, so when it starts to take shape it should take shape quickly.

The ornate building in the foreground of the pic NYGuy posted happens to be my favorite lowrise structure in the world. The contrast with One57 is extremely stunning. Only in New York.

There has been vertical progress, it's just been very slow. I saw it yesterday & it looks like they're finishing the smaller portion of the 'fin' on top.
