It looks like this may actually be about to get going! It's been a slow period for high rise construction in Minneapolis, let's hope so!

Magellan has hired someone to market this and another new tower in Chicago...mentioned in these recent articles:

This is a great looking building. It sort of reminds me of one that's under construction here. I just hope our's looks that good. That rendering is beautiful.

They haven't actually started digging yet, but apparently closed on their construction loan today, according to sources! Parking lot is clear, the last cars were towed.

MINNEAPOLIS - Construction is under way on a new luxury apartment town in the Loring Park Neighborhood of Minneapolis.

Chicago-based Magellan Development Group started construction for the 36-story mixed-use high-rise located at 1369 Spruce Place on Thursday.

It's official. Kind of a weird title...as it will be a while before there is a crane I imaging.

Chicago-based Magellan Development Group LLC has commenced construction of a new luxury apartment tower situated in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis.
The 36-story mixed-use high-rise located at 1369 Spruce Place will include residential apartments, retail space, and on-site parking. The building will contain 354 rental apartments, including studios and one- to three-bedroom residences with condo quality finishes, offering captivating views of the park and city. The walk-to-work location is steps from the city’s renowned Theater District, Orchestra Hall, Walker Art Museum and Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, Minneapolis Convention Center, dining, shopping, and boutiques.

they are chugging along at this site...3 small cranes have been assembled...I expect a tower crane will go up soon and foundation work will begin. Should be able to move this to the under construction side very soon!

MINNEAPOLIS | 1368 LaSalle / 374 FT / 114 M / 36 Floors

Construction is underway on 1368 LaSalle (aka Loring Apartments) in downtown Minneapolis. 355 luxury units.

Part of an apartment boom in Minneapolis & St. Paul. 11,000 units are currently under construction or in the final planning stages in the two core cities. Several thousand more in the suburbs.

It's nice to see something going up in the Loring Park area, my old stomping grounds in the early 70's. Why did it take so long get more development in that area!!!
Now if they'd just reface that ugly eyesore, the Hyatt Regency!!! That must be the ugliest Hyatt ever built!

They are drilling pilings at the site...I see there is a new thread in the construction side...should this one just be moved over instead? not sure how that works on here.
