To be honest I wasn't there for the pit itself, but to take use of the final chances of being able to photo BC Place from this fantastic angle before a crane and this building go up.

Ah, who am I kidding - of course I was there for the pit! I wish I would have been able to go down into it and enjoy all the gravel and dirt in it. It is such a mesmerizing sight - a new focal point for the whole Downtown. I wish they preserve it as Yaletown Pit Park for the future generations!

That pit looks pretty deep... I wonder how it compare with other pits near by before it and if they are going to go even deeper.

I'm also excited for the new casino, it's going to be huge! Bigger gaming space = more tax dollars into Vancouver, which might allow for bigger and better buildings in the future!

I don't see how increased tax revenue leads to bigger and better buildings...
