North Carolina cities I've noticed are very pleasant and clean looking. Raleigh, Durham, Greenville are also real nice.

^ For some reason some parts remind me of a Dr. Suess neighborhood in its vernacular, but then there's vast swaths filled with your typical american suburban layout. It might've been the color palette more so than the actual architecture though.

My apologies, as I have pretty much no knowledge whatsoever of photography and associated techniques.

In the first few photographs, the colors are extremely vivid in an almost surreal, painting like way. I can't think of any other way to describe it. Very nifty looking.

^ Ohh, I just turned up the saturation slider in lightroom to make the colors pop and I turned up the clarity slider to make it clearer. Nothing over the top

Great pics. I didn't get all the street people vibe when I was there (several years ago), sad to hear about it. The city still looks as clean as I remember. Thanks for the tour.

Wow, I've got to say that I'm really impressed. I didn't know downtown Charlotte was that lively.

Am I the only one who has noticed a complete dearth of discussion/threads related to Charlotte these past few years? I remember when CHR has a massive presence here on SSP/SSC around 2003-2006. Wonder what happened?

Thanks. I was actually surprised that it had such a well-defined skyline. And I was even more surprised that its "uptown" had a real nice amount of street activity going on. A few things I didn't have a chance to photograph were the street performers, magicians, segway tourists, and other characters that really made it feel like I was in a well established urban area. It was very cool.

Charlotte is looking good.
^That. Your "limited" St. Louis material was great too. Personally I'm hoping you do another Chicago thread, your south side series was one of the best on here.

^ Since I've started trying to balance 40 hour work weeks with attending school full time I really haven't been able to touch my camera at all this year aside from this set of pics. Luckily there's only a few more months left in this semester so I should be able to start that project back up after the semester is over. Of course since it'll be winter by then, I won't be able to complete anything until spring or later (unless we're lucky enough to have another very mild start).

Lol, to be honest I was hoping that everyone forgot about that fail of an attempt by now .

Thanks for this set. I always like seeing how someone else sees a place I've spend so much time looking at myself.
