Is Emporis a solid source? They say 46 Nelson (proposed) will be 30 stories & 901 Pacific (approved) will be 28. There doesn't seem to be a name yet, so I don't think The Colours is the right name at this point. Both will be done in 2010:

I thought it was Winter 08 for a while now?

With Cosmos being the "on sale fall 2008" project for a while now no....

That's correct, Colours won't be the final name and they annonced the winter/08 around a month ago. Greenwich was supposed to be Winter/08 as well but they've removed the date on that one. Probably late spring/09 now.

the state of construction as of Nov 25 (my pic)

(& a lady @ the sales office says there isn't even a name for this project yet, so it's not called the colours as the thread title says)

at first I thought of putting this pic in the Vancouver photos thread, but maybe it would be better here. just look at the enormous brutal gaping hole in the skyline next to BC Place:

The site pictured is the site of this social housing project (1050 Expo Blvd), not Colours, which will be east of the Nelson ramp (and will fill that gaping hole a bit) - there's view cone through that hole as well.

Don't worry, that gaping hole will get filled-in. Concord owns most of the land on the east of Cambie bridge and have long-planned to develop towers over that side. It's all in the master plan. Just time.

Yes, there's a social housing project planned for that location as well (up to 12 storeys I think) - all part of the 20% social housing requirement planned for the Concord lands.

The spikes from the new stadium roof should also help fill in that gap.

The project at 58 W Hastings is on hold, at least until the spring, possibly a bit longer.

Unfortunately that's true, as the spikes will poke into the view cone and the perimeter buildings around the stadium (and the other half of "Colours") will have to be below the view cone.

Here's the render previously posted by Mr. X from the COV report on the stadium lands rezoning - you can see the perimeter buildings and the 2nd shorter "Colours" building:

The stepped tower also reads like a taller version of the Governor's Tower podium.
