The salesperson said none (which I don't really believe)

I went during to the previews and the sales centre was packed even though it was already a week and a half into initial preview launch

It's likely true, most people I know who work for resi developers dont get a discount.

The perk you do get is first dibs on the best units, so you still pay full price but you have your choice of the units with the best value.

The psf price is ridiculous. Looks like most of the tower will be window wall, and the balconies are tiny. Not to mention the bi-polar design

I really like the look of this project personally. Looks different from a lot of other glass condo projects.

Holborn employees received not only first selection but also 8% off

At least the kitchens look sharp! I wonder what the quality of those pop up outlets, vent and spice rack are, will they be defunct in 10 years. Bathroom is lacking in storage but i would still take this over the bathrooms in Trump!

Solid sheet marble floor to ceiling? Wow!

The pop up plugs seem a bit silly - i.e. I keep my toaster and coffee maker plugged in all the time.
Their placement should also be farther away form the cooktop.

The floor to ceiling marble slabs in the bathroom are real but the kitchen backsplash and living room feature wall is porcelain.

The living room feature wall is featured in the smaller units

That's what i was thinking. Also in terms of practicality and usability; what if you spilled some incredibly sticky messy thing into all that pop up stuff, can the be easily dismantled to be cleaned? If not it's the perfect scenario for a roach infestation with the walls open for pipes behind the cabinets.

Porcelain makes sense in the kitchen - less permeable for staining.

I figured the living room wall was a design feature - but still impressive for the bathroom!

Yep, but what I find the most interesting is that the feature wall for the living room is only offered in the cheaper and smaller units and not the 2m+ ones

Probably because someone with $2m+ to spend on a condo can likely hire their own interior designer.

You'd be surprised... 98% of the units in Shangri La, Fairmont, 3HG, etc are left in their original condition. Even the signature units at Shangri La (double height units in the sky box) are un-renovated

I've been checking this site regularly and there now seems to be something going on. Equipment on site.

Thanks for the update.

Side note -
Did Scotiabank move out of the building across Cardero?
It had a big gaudy sign before.
Or is it further to the left?

We should update the title to Cardero instead of the address.

Excavation Underway for 1575 West Georgia Street
Quote:
More than two years have passed since news first broke about the planned construction of a 26-storey, mixed-use tower designed by Henriquez Partners Architects for Bosa Properties at 1575 West Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver, and work crews have since cleared the site and begun excavation.
