Grand/Orleans

452’

Got here late and don’t have renderings and a lot of data.

A rental building? Could be condo?

I’m sure you’ll see renderings on Curbed.

^ I think that's actually 200 N Green aka Hoxton Hotel, not 210 N Green. I think that 210 N Green is something completely different (low rise renovation).

Random subject jump but I was looking up some old drawings and came across Conservatory Tower. I loved it's original location plan, hot damn would that glass crown look sexy on one of the lots along Michigan ave.

Yeah it's original location was a bit tucked away. Unless I modeled the height wrong.

Grand/Orleans site (from Curbed). 354 units, 284 parking spots. Too much parking!

Better looking than the old design at least. If something is going to get built there, at least it's this and not the previous iteration

The design will imitate drapery to give the garage the appearance of residential units.

I like the cleaner lines and the inset penthouse. That previous design was a shitty knock off of Alta at K station.

Edit: looks like Curbed updated with better renderings

A city block long parking garage? No freaking way. I don't care how nice they make the retail on the first floor.

correct. that said, on the North side of the building, there is still what looks like grey concrete where otherwise windows would be located...does anyone know if they are punching those out? trying to understand why those wouldnt already be exposed. you can see by the pic that only one "column" is opened up
