They're really moving quick with this one. Looks to be almost topped out. Maybe half a mechanical floor left to pour?

That's what I thought when I had to stop for the light. It makes for a better looking entrance to the downtown. I often come into the city on York, so I'll try to get a better shot if I'm the first one at the red light.

Interesting. I never noticed the angled wall on the upper two floors. I really enjoy the way this tower steps back. It's very dynamic and looks neat from the street.

Love all these photos, #HamOnt SSPers. They've been showing us progress of this building, but also some nice angles of the surrounding blocks and downtown. Thanks!

This building looks great from pretty much every vantage point...I can't wait until it gets closed in and the cladding is on!

They're installing motorized scaffolding lifts around the entrance off of Rebecca, presumably to install some masonry of some kind. They're also mounting the support brackets which will hold up the cleaned old facade.

Looks like they're building the last 2 or 3 set back stories at the top now.

so I noticed something interesting when I went by it last night - the structure they put at the top of the facade to hold the new cornice is also repeated at the top of the first jut-out of the condo above it - are they going to put a cornice on the top of the condo? Because that would be very interesting - I don't think I've ever seen a cornice on the top of a condo..

hmm looking back at the plans it looks like it might just be a solid colour panel finish at the top.. hard to tell what the cornice above the facade will look like from what the plans show.. hope they don't cheap out.. it'd be nice to restore the original facade look:

also a nice view of the tivoli and opera houses in the bg

also note that elevation drop on the building to the left of it used to have dormer elements on top of it - I can only assume they were artificial just for the look. I also like the awnings - I hope they don't opt out of all of them - the one they restored on king william looks amazing

^ The opera house is kinda hard to make out in that postcard. Do you mean the old Sun Life/ Federal Life building? It still stands today, though has been renovated once or twice since then.
