I'll try to get something up today, or else it might have to wait until early next week. But yes, I can definitely put a small thread together. Too bad so many of my shots didn't turn out well, mainly because of the extreme amount of mist from Horseshoe Falls that literally makes it impossible to photograph well! Well that plus the cloudcover that make the contrast very low between the sky, the mist, and the cliffs...

Stop using the AF like a crutch and turn the focusing ring!

I was, dude. Ever tried to manual focus a shot in driving rain/mist whilst literally smack-dab in the middle of a massive waterfall? Okay, maybe not IN the waterfall itself, but it's Horseshoe Falls, so I was pretty much right at the center point of the horseshoe. The mist made it nearly impossible to see anything, to be honest with you!

Mist, much like fog, is photographic gold. You gotta make that sh*t work for you. Take a few steps back and make it part of the composition.

I'll post a few photos that I took on the Maid of the Mist, bulliver. I'll let you be the judge! Keep in mind, this was more than a mist, it was more of a soaking rain in the middle of the curvature of Horseshoe Falls!

Glowrock, this is certainly not the best shot I have ever taken, but I think it demonstrates using the 'mist' to advantage in a composition:

We had two days of spring this year, and now we're full in to summer. All these trees below my apartment were practically bare two weeks ago. Shanghai has some of the strangest weather on the planet.
