Vancouver Data Online

A while back the city of Vancouver announced they would make their data freely available and accessible online

http://data.vancouver.ca/

They've been adding new subjects over time
http://data.vancouver.ca/datacatalogue/index.htm

I thought some people here might be interested.

Some examples:
Bike routes, available in one click throuh Google Maps or Bing Maps
Business licenses
Food vendors
Block outlines
Building footprints
Rapid transit lines
Sewer lines
Active and abandoned conduits for street lighting
City and neighbourhood boundaries
Parking meters
Motorcycle parking
Imagery
Fire departments
Traffic counts
...

I'm sure someone will find a use for it while speculating about new developments or infrastructure which feels like the general theme of these forums. Hopefully this provides a productive outlet and maybe some interesting results from the energy that is becoming more frequently directed towards political arguments
