Micropolis

I'm working on installing Micropolis (the open source release of the old Sim City code) on a debian GNU/Linux sytem. I've written a preliminary post about it at

I've opened up an email dialog with the main developer. At the moment most of his time is going into rewriting the system, with the back end in C++, and the user interface in Python (if I'm understanding my first pass over it).

I'd be interesting in getting feedback from anyone who's been running Micropolis, and I'll browse back through past messages here.
