I walked by a couple hours ago and they had just started putting what looked like dark tiles up. I’ll get a closer look when I walk by tomorrow.

1532 Harrison Street at 12th Street

Currently 12th St. at Harrison St. is blocked for the construction of the Eagle Plaza. I passed by today on the way to the Rainbow Grocery & Best Buy.

It is odd to see the old house isolated by the new construction.

1100 Block of Harrison Street

Timbad - here is the view that I see from my apartment (telephoto) of the construction site that you posted a view of on September 10th. I've been wondering what it is, now I know!

The wood framed building in construction in the foreground fronts Folsom Street.

a lot of the work at the ferry plaza just looks like this still...

Saw it today and it looks okay.

It's nothing you'll point out to visitors, but it achieves decent density without imposing too much on the surrounding neighborhood. It's unobtrusive.

1554 Market is really whizzing along. They already have the rebar in place to pour the second garage level:

1270 Mission Street near 9th Street

I had completely forgotten about this development. Redesigned & ready to go. Picture from Socket Site. I find it to be boring architecture. I will look down on this one from my apartment 2 blocks away. It will not do any damage to the view. Maybe in a couple of years there will be enough people to support some decent restaurants in the neighborhood, if they can afford the rent!

Former A's owner Lew Wolff backs luxury 'hostel on steroids' in Tenderloin
By Katie Burke – Staff Reporter, San Francisco Business Times
Sep 18, 2019, 1:21pm PDT Updated 7 hours ago

With rooms more akin to a cruise ship and amenities rivaling those in an upscale dorm, Found Hotels is ready to convince San Francisco travelers that a luxury hostel isn't a contradiction in terms.

Backed by former Oakland A's owner Lew Wolff and Beverley Hills-based investor Hawkins Way Capital, the new 220-bed hotel — note the measurement in beds, not rooms — is set to open next month in the Tenderloin following years of redevelopment work. Located at 140 Mason St., the property will be just steps away from the Powell Street BART station and will provide a mix of private and shared bunk rooms.

Rates will be per bed rather than traditional hotels' per room. They will start a $49 a night . . . .

Nearly 400 units in SoMa seek go-ahead
By Fiona Kelliher – Staff Reporter, San Francisco Business Times
Sep 18, 2019, 1:30pm PDT Updated 9 hours ago

Nearly 400 housing units could soon hit San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood.

Trammell Crow Residential is seeking final approvals for its 42-story tower at 95 Hawthorne St., consisting of 392 apartments and about 3,500 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

The project, which will replace an existing five-story office building on the site, will include 199 one-bedroom units, 144 two-bedroom units and 49 three-bedroom units. About 14 percent — or 55 — of the units will be designated as below-market-rate for residents making up to 50 percent of area median income . . . .
