I used to follow www.hollywoodnorthreport.com for their coverage of filming in Vancouver but the site has not been as regularly updated as of late and only seems to be used as a newsfeeder.

I think Vancouver's track record is much better in terms of TV series...Battlestar Galactica anyone?

Watchmen does promise to be a big Vancouver movie and New Moon, the sequel to Twilight is slated to start filming in Vancouver in March so that's going to bring a bit of spotlight to Vancouver perhaps.

So I guess for every Juno or Legends of the Fall, we get an Ecks vs. Sever and countless other horrible movies.

I'm a little annoyed that they filmed Wolverine out of Canada. I mean, they did the other ones here already AND Wolverine is Canadian (lol).

I already mentioned Wolverine was filmed in New Zealand. Kind of a kick in the teeth. Magneto better be filmed here.

So parts of Wolverine are back to Van? I forget what franchise it is but another major one has left Van for New Zealand, but if the CAD continues to stay low this trend should reverse, because Van is still closer and is in the same time zone as LA. The only reason why so many production are going to NZ is because LoTR knew how to advertise. As i have said before it makes me angry that no major film or franchise has exploited the fact that they are filmed in Van like LoTR exploited NZ (it acted as a huge tourist and business commercial)

Heres a link to a Verizon Blackberry Commercial set in Vancouver, at the very end when it zooms out you can see the Fairmont Pacific Rim under construction aswell as the convension center etc. I saw it multiple times during NFL playoff games on CBS.

The X-Files 2 movie had parts of it shot in the Farimont Pacific Rim tower which is still under construction.

I seem to be one of the few people that finds it odd that she shares her name with the bard's wife. Coincidence or intentional?

A terrible movie? Filmed in Vancouver? NO WAY!!! With a few exceptions, that's the way it is with movies in Vancouver.

Hugh Jackman Still Working on 'Wolverine'

Here's upcoming Oscar host Hugh Jackman in reshoots for X-Men Origins: Wolverine in Vancouver.

Jackman, 40, is playing the feral Marvel Comics mutant for the fourth time, this time solo.

Well, not quite solo.

Ryan Reynolds and Lost's Dominic Monaghan are coming along for the ride as fellow children of the atom, and Liev Schrieber's cutting heroes to ribbons with his claws as the villainous Sabretooth—Wolverine's arch-enemy.

Unfortunately, numerous reshoots have plagued the production.

MTV reports that Fox has ordered the Vancouver reshoots to “capture specific weather conditions."

In an interesting move, Fox (perhaps to put off fears that the movie is a mess behind the scenes) has invited journalists to watch the ongoing production fixes.

The film is now supposed to hit theaters on May 1, and is being categorized as in "post production." It still looks to be very much in "production."

Jackman himself is trying to put fanboy fears to rest, sending an e-mail to Ain't It Cool News: “I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes.

“Please rest assured that Wolverine will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations,” continued Jackman. “I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we’ve got much more in store!”

What do you think? Does all of this reshooting mean a bad movie? Will we see something that rivals The Dark Knight or are we talking Daredevil? Let us know in the comments section.
