Magnificent and real. A nice slice of everyday Paris.

This scene has sadly familiar qualities to it.

Really? there's actually a marché aux puces around there. It's probably overcrowded on weekends. At least, the last time I went there to get some crazy military clothes when I was a fucked up bobo student, there was a whole crowd of busy folks selling their funny shit.
Don't worry about them, they know their business like you don't.

Very interesting. Thanks for the tour.

I'm assuming a typical Paris street scene these days...

I already made that point on the French-speaking forum once, that couple of towers (54) at porte de la Chapelle is interesting for the layout along the boulevard. I wish there was a plan to renovate and provide them with better facades but then, they should have to accept an actual gentrification of the neighborhood... Not sure that's in the current town hall plans. The area is nonetheless undergoing some redevelopment if I remember well.

Good thread, I always look forward to seeing areas of Paris I've never seen before in your threads.

Thought so! I walked down this street two years ago but circled back to the touristy areas, great to see what is on the other side!

That Samsung/LG ads on the twin apartment towers, remember those too, very prominent from the train from de Gaulle.

True, but I didn't know fashion from a far away galaxy had made its way here.

was indeed. nyc ranks 1-2nd over recent years and paris 3-4th. london has #1 spot currently. better up your game because played out star wars characters wont get paris a #1 fashion capitol ranking back anytime soon!
