Fenwick Vs. Buckley: The Ultimate Smackdown
Im a Lover not a fighter. Never raised a fist to anyone in my life. I have received a number of hard slaps across the cheek for some "Tiger woods" type incidents where I was caught and one solid received punch in the nose - she told me she didnt have a boyfriend.

Have a nice gathering. Im a newbie here and if you noted me and Fenwick almost on same page now with the CC. There was a solid exchange of information that led to that.

I agree, I actually was initially peeved off at Buckey but then I started reading the information that he was posting and I learned new information. I think we agree on most points regarding the CC. Personally, I want it to proceed but at the best financial terms possible.

I am a fairly old geyser with limited social interests other than my family, work and technical interests (I am a technical geek) so I will save you the boredom of me going to the forum meeting. I am far more likely to bore people to tears (probably by talking about stadiums all night) than to get into a fight (physical or verbal). Also, I don't get back down there very often since my wife and kids are up here and my kids all consider Ontario to be home. It would be interesting to meet people on this forum sometime, especially if some people start holding meetings regarding a Halifax area stadium (I have a one track mind).

We were just kidding by the way (hence the laughing smileys) but its good to hear you aren't actually mad with people on this forum over our differing opinions.

I can proudly say I have never resorted to punching, kicking or slapping someone before so I defenitely don't like getting in heated debates.

Anyways about half a dozen people have mentioned interest which is good. Since halifaxboyns is arriving on the 22nd I'd vote for the 23rd if possible for most people. If it's too close to holiday events the 22nd might work as well.
Anything happening with this?

Just resurrecting this thread and the idea of having a forum meet sometime soon.

My vote is for a weekday evening in late March or early April.

^Hard to say. The last forum meet we had was three years ago and maybe half a dozen people showed up. I believe it was over a few beers at Henry House.

I can't make any promises because of work but my vote is for Thursday, March 27th at a casual hangout spot somewheres downtown (preferably with a view of Nova Centre going up).

I will be back in hfx this week trying to cook up an event that we did out here in Calgary in hfx. I won't say much more than that until it's a go

I can't say anything at this point; because the cost to try to pull this off is pretty big. But if my meetings go well, then I can say more...

As we know Thanksgiving is upon us the first of three seals before we are Christmas-ed. How about a Yuletide get together? I will be in the city for most of it, as will my brother who I think haunts this forum as well. It doesn't have to be fancy, I would be down for the plum as much as Agricola Brasserie, as long as there's good draft and conversation.

I'm in as well. A weekend afternoon in late November/early December would work best for me.

I vote for one of the pubs downtown with a view of Nova Centre!

I'm down. I have a bit of a grudge against the plum though.

Why don't we do this somewhere like Durty Nelly's or the Shoe Shop or Foggy Goggle (all have views of the Nova Centre). Maybe sometime like the last week of November after work time.

REQUEST: Assistance required

I am suddenly not seeing threads within forum categories. Everything appears as if there are no posts/threads to show me. I did nothing to my settings. Can a moderator check?

I would post this in a new thread but I cannot find a way to do that.

^It's happening with me as well and I am a moderator. I imagine it is just a maintenance or slight hiccup on the forum's behalf.

Since this thread is one of the few available ...

Who would be interested in a forum meet on Wednesday, November 26th, at 7pm at a pub along Argyle Street.
