This list might as well be renamed 'Vancouver's top 10'. I'm surprised Calgary only has two buildings in the list considering how much we hear about it's building boom.

Only half of them are in Metro Vancouver. 3 in Montreal, 2 in Calgary. But I need to edit the list because now it will be 3 in Calgary, 2 in Montreal.

And also Calgary's 3 Eau Claire (3EC) at 160m should there soon.... Talk about hot competition to be in this top 10!

There's a likelihood that l'Avenue will be bumped up to 200m. This is not 100% though. But let's hope so, this will give Montreal two 200m scrapers sitting side by side. omg omg

Yeah I've been floating that around whenever L'Avenue is mentioned. It's sales are going quite strong, so I could see it happening

What about Tour Des Canadiens II?

Tour Deloitte has been bumped off the list by The Guardian Calgary. Le V is now shaded green indicating that it is topped out.

We live in some exciting times, seeing so many residential highrises across the country that are over 400'.

I'm not really a big fan of L'Avenue. It may be the tallest condo project in Montreal, but it is not very attractive, and I don't think it suits the lot it is on. In Toronto, it would be a mediocre project that nobody would think twice about. I would have preferred to see a quality office building go up there.

Having said that, I like the Tour des Canadiens, aside from the tacky logo at the top. That charcoal grey coloured polished concrete could be interesting.

Can Stratus in Burnaby be added to the list? It's U/C with a couple cranes on site:
http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=164661

Listed in the database at 489ft (149m):

Up - Seeing Montreal matter on this list. I definitely sensed a stronger momentum during my last visit compared to any time in the last 5 years. One of my favorite things about Montreal is how so many architectural trends are represented. Good to see this after a "lost decade(s)".

Down - Watching Vancouver chip away at its iconic skyline piece by piece. Normally flat would be just that, but in Vancity, it makes those beautiful mountains really pop. This robotic glass thing has got to go...

Will be interesting to see Edmonton pop into this list with the building momentum downtown...

For all its worth, here's the official height of Monreal's V

Roof without the mechanics and decorative fin: 130m
With the mechanics and decorative fin: 138.15m
With the illuminated, decorative spire: 148m

Oh and I have marked Le V as complete... because it pretty much is... from my understanding.
