Since it's not residential, the office side may be one of the cleanest looking instances of the protruding box that we have (until Telus Garden).

Thanks!

The office glass looks nice.
That must be precast brick panels on there.

The jagged edge of the top part now overhangs the Quebec side - adds some interest to it.

im not too sure about the brick veneer, rather they go with a more chic/commercial look

The Main Street and the Quebec Street facades have a lot more interesting parts than the renders made out.

i think most people who dislike the building are basing it on the renderings which shows a view from the top when in fact most people would only see this at street level which may be a completely different experience

I doubt they developers and builders would build this knowing they'd be liable in case of an earthquake by building an under engineered building. I don't think the city would give then permits to build unless they proved it was up to earthquake codes.

Everything in BC is built to withstand earthquakes.

It's not a traditional building skybridge as it has pillars beneath it to account for the seismic risk of the region.

Great shots! It looks massive.
i wonder if the grey paint on the residential tower is just a primer or is that the final colour? The renders show it as being almost the same colour as the brick on the office portion.

The Toronto project feels weirdly cold and sparse, I much prefer Central, with its office component, pleasing proportions, and delightfully comforting bulk.
