What are these orange beams? Are they are temporary support to align the structure during the next pour.

Top of the climbing forms - the form walls will be hung from them. Same as the form on Wolf Point East.

That's why they "can't just make this like 1000' tall" for everyone who keeps asking that about Chicago office towers. Look how much of the footprint is already core, if you had another 20 floors it would just be 80% core for the first 20+ floors.

I don’t think anyone said this should be 1000 feet. Wolf point, sure, but 820 here sho nuf satisfies this forumer. Tho it would be cool to kno how tall they could make it with this core.

Found this site to fill the void BuildingUpChicago left. This guy does a great job. He posted some architectural drawings I haven't seen before.

clearly shown are the bars with knobs (extra tie off), bars just ending (normal tie off), and those waiting to be extended.

Some of the knob ends sandwiched in the form.

A bundle of the extenders.

Great sets Harry, as usual.

I esp liked the made in Wisconsin Manitowoc cranes. I just drove past that town on the way back from the UP.

And further north in the city Marinette, Wisconsin of ship yards had 4 US navy , Freedom-class littoral combat ships of the United States Navy, being built in the same yard at different stages. 15 of them were delivered and 5 under construction with a reserve for more later.

a shipbuilding firm in Marinette, Wisconsin. FMM was a subsidiary of Manitowoc Marine Group of Wisconsin;...

I know the orange I beams are temporary but the amount of steel in the foundation is massive.

I can't wait until you next set.
