Don't worry, we are.

Geez! Why does everyone have to be so picky about information being official. Blah blah blah! It's april fools, so surely I could post something unrelated, or try to pass off some other random building as the rendering for this, but for you guys, nothing of the sort! Since it hasn't been posted here yet, here's the plot diagram for the site. The base of this tower is going to be very irregularly shaped. Knowing CDP, that will continue up the tower. Of that I am sure...

That's cool, just a massing looks like, but seeing the Tower Verre there breaks my heart.

But think of all the children in Central Park forever damned to whither in the shadow of the Tower Verre if it were built. Your heart isn't broken, it's just not there!

I know a shadow from the hot sun, oh how the children will cry and feel sad at the park. It's not that serious.

Yes, the render I posted is just a massing model. I created it using the diagram roldanTTLB posted as a guideline for the massing. Even at just 953' it is quite dominating. Just imagine it with some sort of crown or spire.

It wasn't canceled, I think he is referencing the fact that 200 ft had to be chopped off...

Oh well, even at 1050 it would still look cool if built. I'd imagine it would complement this building really well.

With 157 W. 57th, 250 E. 57th, Tower Verre, City Spire Center, Metropolitan Tower, Carnegie Hall Tower, Solow Building, Hearst Tower, Time Warner Center....That northwest corner of Midtown is really screaming skyscrapers.
